About the Event
Join me for a guided 90min walk blending Celtic contemplation practices and forest bathing, inspired by John Phillip Newell’s prayer book for peace, Praying with the Earth.
We’ll begin by intentionally slowing down to sink into the physical senses and begin to recognize the sacred light of Christ in all things. As you slowly walk through San Damiano’s gardens and trees (ancestral territory of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok), allow yourself to shift from doing into being. As an intentionally small group (max of 10 participants), we will connect to reflect after each invitation that takes you on a journey to connect deeply with the earth.
This walk is much slower than a hike and covers a very short distance allowing you to reawaken to your senses and experience awe. Spend time cultivating wonder and awe, receiving the physical and psychological health benefits of being outdoors.
Offered on a sliding scale ($60-40 per person), which invites you to pay what you can.
Pay after the walk via: Venmo @Joy-Evans-MSW or paypal.me/JoyEvansMSW
This outdoors walk is limited to 10 participants, will be socially-distanced with masks optional.
Walks are subject to cancellation due to poor air quality and heavy rain.
