About the Event

You’re invited to join us under the light of the Samhain (Halloween) blue full moon for a guided meditative walk blending Celtic contemplation practices, forest bathing, and the celestial sounds of alchemy crystal singing bowls.

For the Celts, Samhain marks the midpoint between Fall Equinox and Winter Solstice. To prepare ourselves to welcome the darkness of winter, we will tune into the energy of this full moon to gain clarity and we will connect deeply with the magical land at Mount Shasta Hestia Retreat Center.

We’ll begin by intentionally slowing down to allow our hearts and bodies to sink into our senses and to connect with the more-than-human world. Give yourself permission to shift from “doing” to “being”.  Then spend time slowly moving through some of Hestia’s sacred power centers, such as our labyrinth and third chakra healing garden while immersed in a community sound healing. The vibration/energy of crystal singing bowls can be impactful both physically on the mind/body and energetically on the subtle energy bodies. Gentle attention will be given to the heart chakra of each person who attends to support your connection to the energy of the earth and moon. After your Samhain sound journey, enjoy some hot tea next to a warm fire.

What will be illuminated under the blue moon on October 31 for you?

What seasonal messages will the land whisper to your heart about transitions, death/rebirth, and your inner journey?

What to expect:

  • limited small group to 12 people, please pre-register to attend
  • socially-distanced & folks wearing masks
  • slowly walking short distances on unpaved pathways through the forest
  • opportunity to share from your heart
  • access to outdoor portal potties

What to bring:

  • layers to stay warm
  • comfortable walking shoes
  • water bottle
  • small camping chair or blanket, if you prefer to sit instead of walk

Joy will also be offering outdoor one-on-one sound sessions at Hestia Retreat Center October 31-November 1. This personalized time offers a practice of restorative rest and focuses directly on your energy centers to cleanse and to energize, as needed. Samhain also offers a beautiful opportunity to connect with ancestral healing.
