About the Event
Join me with Oakland views of the setting sun. As the sun sinks behind the Santa Cruz mountains, we will sink into the celestial sounds of crystal singing bowls, honoring the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere.
We will also bring awareness to the planetary alignment of Jupiter and Saturn. Under clear skies the two planets will appear as a double star, the brightness which has not been seen from earth since the Middle Ages.
We will end the session in time for you to grab a hot cup of tea and to watch the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn on your own or if you don't have a view of the Southwestern sky, I will keep my camera up until 5:45pm.
Online participants will receive a short video to keep practicing sinking into Winter's rest.
Sounds from alchemy quartz crystal singing bowls can be impactful on the body and mind including: helping the mind to settle and the brain to enter a peaceful theta (or pre-sleep) state; the parasympathetic nervous system to engage offering a break from being in a constant state of fight-flight-freeze; and the body to access the benefits of deep rest.
Learn more about the benefits of crystal singing bowls from Psychology Today, The Healing Power of Sound as Meditation.
